Burnage borders Withington, Didsbury and Levenshulme and is popular with young families seeking to benefit from the short commute into the city centre. There are a number of schools in the area along with the Tesco superstore and not one but two train stations (Burnage and Mauldeth Road). With mostly 1930s and 40s semi detached housing living here offers more generous room sizes at generally slightly lower rents. As most houses have reasonable size gardens, rather than the more common back yards found in Fallowfield, residents may feel less tempted by the amazing parks that surround the area. Cringle Fields Park even has bowling greens.
